Privacy Policy
Here is what Bazaar collects and shares while neighbors find and host repair parties.

Bazaar is a free pilot operated by Sanyam Sood. For privacy questions or requests, email sanyamsood2@gmail.com.
Information we handle
- Sign-in details. Clerk manages email and Google sign-in. If you choose ChatGPT sign-in, that provider manages your account there. Bazaar receives an account identifier and session information so it can recognize you. Sign-in providers may handle your email address and other basic account details under their own policies. Bazaar does not store your Clerk password or Google password in its repair-party database.
- Your Bazaar profile. We store the public name, city, skills, and bio you choose to provide.
- Repair parties. Hosts provide a title, description, category, date and time, city, neighborhood, venue address, capacity, and details about tools or items to bring. We keep the host account identifier with the party.
- Participation. We store reservations, the role and item or skills you describe, saved parties, cancellation and attendance status, and feedback scores and comments from verified attendees.
- Party emails. When email delivery is enabled, we use the email address supplied by your sign-in provider to send host and booking confirmations. The email delivery provider receives that address and the party details needed to send the message. Bazaar does not add the address to a public listing.
- Technical information. Authentication and hosting providers may use necessary cookies and process IP addresses, browser information, and request logs to keep sign-in and the site working and secure.
How we use it
We use this information to let you sign in, create or join parties, show your own bookings, give hosts the details needed to run a gathering, send party confirmations when email delivery is enabled, confirm attendance, collect feedback, protect the pilot from misuse, and maintain the service. The founding pilot does not collect deposits, process payments, calculate taxes, or make payouts.
Who can see what
Public party listings show the host’s chosen name, party details, city and neighborhood, but not the exact venue address. The address is available to the host and people with a confirmed or attended reservation. Hosts can see attendees’ chosen names, participation roles, what they say they are bringing, and attendance status. Individual feedback is not displayed publicly; an aggregate host rating may appear after the review window closes. Your account email is not shown in public party listings.
Google sign-in data
Google sign-in is used only to authenticate your Bazaar account through Clerk. Clerk may receive basic identity information from Google, such as your name, email address, and profile image, according to the permissions shown in Google’s sign-in flow. Bazaar receives Clerk’s authenticated user identifier for its party records. Bazaar does not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or calendar, and does not use Google account information for advertising or sell it.
Service providers and disclosures
Clerk provides email and Google authentication; OpenAI provides the optional ChatGPT sign-in; and the site and shared repair-party database run on Sites infrastructure hosted with Cloudflare. Resend sends party confirmations when email delivery is enabled. These providers process information needed for their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep account-linked profiles and party records while operating the pilot and as needed to maintain booking, attendance, safety, and feedback history. Cancellations currently keep a record rather than erasing it, and Bazaar does not yet offer an automatic account-deletion button. For access, correction, or deletion requests, email us; we will review and respond in line with applicable law and any records we need to retain.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your Bazaar profile, cancel an eligible reservation, and choose whether to submit feedback. You may ask us about the information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern using the email above. Additional rights and a right to complain to a data protection authority may apply where you live.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS, sign-in checks, and access rules that limit exact venue addresses and account-linked actions. No online service can promise absolute security. Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. If the pilot changes materially, we will update this page and its date.
