Terms of Service

A few clear rules help everyone feel welcome at the repair table.

About Bazaar

Bazaar is a free pilot operated by Sanyam Sood. It helps people organize and join in-person repair parties. By using the site, you agree to these terms. Questions can be sent to sanyamsood2@gmail.com.

The free pilot

Reservations are free. Bazaar does not currently collect a $10 deposit, hold money, charge a service fee, issue refunds, calculate taxes, or pay participants. Descriptions or calculators about a possible future money-sharing model are illustrations only and do not create a payment entitlement. We will publish separate terms before introducing any paid feature.

Accounts and accurate information

Use an account you are allowed to control, keep your sign-in method secure, and provide information that is accurate enough for hosts and attendees to understand a gathering. You are responsible for activity through your account. Do not impersonate someone else, post misleading party details, or use Bazaar to harass, discriminate against, or endanger others.

Hosting and attending

Hosts choose the venue and details of their own gatherings and should provide a safe, lawful setting and clear instructions. Attendees should respect the host’s venue, other participants, and their belongings. Bring only items you own or are authorized to repair. Follow applicable laws, venue rules, and reasonable safety directions. Do not attempt work beyond your skills, especially on mains electricity, gas, batteries, vehicles, or other safety-critical items; use a qualified professional when appropriate.

Repairs are voluntary

Bazaar connects neighbors; it does not inspect venues, verify anyone’s skills, supervise repairs, or guarantee that an item can be fixed. Participants decide whether and how to work on an item and should discuss risks before starting. To the extent permitted by law, Bazaar is not responsible for losses arising from arrangements between participants or the result of a repair. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Reservations, cancellations, and feedback

A saved seat is a pilot reservation, not a paid ticket. Attendees can cancel an eligible reservation before the party begins; hosts can cancel a party, and cancellation records may remain in the service. Hosts confirm attendance after a gathering. Verified attendees can submit one round of honest feedback about other verified attendees during the seven-day review window after the host completes the party. Feedback does not move money during the pilot.

Content you share

You keep ownership of the descriptions, profile details, and feedback you submit. You give Bazaar permission to store, display, and use that content only as needed to operate and improve the pilot, subject to the Privacy Policy. Do not share content you lack the right to use, private contact details that belong to others, or unlawful or harmful material. We may remove content or limit access when reasonably needed to protect participants or comply with law.

Availability and changes

Bazaar is an early pilot and may change, pause, or end. We may update these terms as the service develops. We will post the updated text and date here; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms where the law permits. If a change requires a separate agreement, we will ask for it.
